IMEG was engaged by a Nebraska-based irrigation system and road safety infrastructure manufacturer to design and implement digital assembly work instructions using VKS (Visual Knowledge Share) across multiple production lines. The objective: eliminate paper-based documentation, improve production quality, and support a multilingual workforce.

THE PLAN

IMEG launched a plant-wide implementation plan to digitize and streamline the instruction process:

Defined work cell layouts and equipment needs for all electrical assembly processes
Integrated VKS hardware and software into workstations for live, visual guidance
Created multimedia-based digital work instructions for each product type
Implemented barcode scanning to enable product traceability and automated data entry
Established a work instruction approval process and built non-conformance forms to standardize feedback and continuous improvement
