Quality Engineer - West Central Ohio

IMEG is hiring a Full time Quality Engineer to join our growing team. Our office is located in St. Marys, OH and we have customers throughout Ohio and the US. An ideal candidate must be willing to travel, be a US Citizen, and have reliable transportation.

  • Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system ISO9001
  • Utilize statistical methods to support Root Cause Analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns and validate all improvement activities
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system utilizing 5S and Gemba Kaizen methodology and 5P problem solving activities
  • Develop training plans to build quality awareness throughout manufacturing process
  • Interface with Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to ensure new products are in accordance with customer drawings
  • Conduct audits of quality system procedures and create audit finding reports
  • Determine proper corrective and preventive actions to close out audit findings
  • Analyze manufacturing process failures and develop corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation including quality manuals, quality procedures, and all process documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Quality Visuals
  • Perform supplier site audits to validate internal and external audits and controls
  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier quality issues and develop corrective and preventive actions
  • Provide assistance to ensure compliance to internal policies and procedures, FDA guidelines, and International Standards and Regulations
  • Plan and execute projects and team activates in a timely fashion
  • Assist with APQP Process (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
  • Assist with manufacturing process design & development
  • Assist with manufacturing process error proofing
  • Perform Product Reliability Studies
  • Analyze work methods relative to standardized work and quality
  • Understanding of Engineering / Product Drawings
  • Assist with development of Engineering Specifications
  • Ability to understand and apply statistical and business improvement tools to improve and sustain business results
  • Strong organizational, practical mathematical (statistical) skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to conceptualize, analyze, plan and organize projects
  • Reasoning skills for problem identification and resolution
  • Knowledge and ability to understand and apply process audit principles (ISO/ASQ)
  • Experience in quality control program operations, to include standards & measurement techniques
  • Ability to apply quality control theories and principles to an operational environment
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Skills and Tools will be advantageous
  • Database experience beneficial
  • Must excel at working in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate detailed, technical initiatives to non-technical associates
  •  Software:

  • BA/BS degree in related field required
  • 4+ years relevant experience preferred

Valid US Driver’s License and transportation required. Ability to operate a rental car is required. Some travel necessary.
