IMEG was hired by a bar equipment manufacturer to develop a detailed AutoCAD layout for their existing manufacturing plant and front office spaces.
THE PROBLEM
Current layout not up to date
Densely packed work areas that needed accurate representation on the layout
No layer management in the AutoCAD files
Portions of the layout imported from construction drawings
Difficult to confidently propose layout changes like relocation of equipment and functional areas due to lack of clarity of current machine and material locations

Perform detailed field measurements throughout the plant
Sketch and document positioning of major and lineside equipment
Sketch and document positioning of all material storage racks, cabinets and all storage locations
Sketch and document office spaces in the front office building as well as inside the manufacturing plant

Transfer all sketches and information into the AutoCAD layout

Implemented IMEG AutoCAD layering structure that increases the functionality of the layout
Consolidated all equipment into 3 layers
Consolidated all material storage and usage locations into 5 layers
Delivered a detailed representation of the utility network
Provided layer filter groups that allow for easy toggling of similar functional layers
